Your Friday Update from B For Butterfly Books: Friday 9th October 2026

I WAS A LITTLE SAD TO HAVE TO PUT THE HEATING ON IN THE SHOP THIS WEEK…BUT DARKER NIGHTS AND THAT LITTLE NIP IN THE AIR MEANS IT'S THE PERFECT TIME OF YEAR TO STAY TUCKED UP INDOORS WITH A GOOD BOOK!

There's no FIVER FRIDAY this week, but for a very good reason…

TOMORROW IS BOOKSHOP DAY!

Pop into the shop on Saturday between 10am and 5.30pm for a range of £5 offers as well as double loyalty card stamps, cake, crafts, giveaways, competitions and lots more!

Can't wait to see you all - and don't forget to tell your friends!

Over the next few weeks we'll be bringing you some of the findings from our Bookshop Survey.

If you have any further feedback or comments, please feel free to get in touch.

SURVEY FINDING

Exactly one quarter of responses were from people who were not previously aware of us.

DID YOU KNOW?

We're focused on providing a friendly, welcoming environment, an interesting selection of books and products, and great service every time you walk through the day.

B For Butterfly Books is YOUR bookshop and we want you to feel comfortable popping in for a chat, a cuppa or simply a browse!

Thank you to all those who shared this survey. Please keep telling your friends about us and consider leaving a review at this link to help us reach more people within the local community.

Don't forget to get your ticket for our next event taking place on Wednesday 14th October at 7pm for a 7.15pm start in the shop.

PAPER SISTERS by Rachel Canwell tells the story of three sisters and a forgotten hospital, trapped on the edge of a marsh. It's the perfect historical novel to cosy up with as we slide into autumn!

Tickets are available for £5 each or £12 with a copy of the book.

Get in touch to reserve your tickets or order them online here.

I'll have news of more events, including some spooky half term treats, over the next few weeks.

And that's it for this week. Hopefully see you in the shop tomorrow for BOOKSHOP DAY!
