Your Friday Update from B For Butterfly Books: Friday 6th November 2026
NOVEMBER IS UPON US AND IT'S DEFINITELY COSY BOOK SEASON!
THE HEATING IS ON, THE WILLOW TREE LIGHTS ARE TWINKLING, ALL THAT'S MISSING IS YOU!
Just a reminder that there's no Fiver Friday now until after Christmas, but you can still make a financial donation to the Wood Street Mission Christmas Appeal in the shop or at this link.
Alternatively you can drop off gifts and selection boxes suitable for children aged 0-14 in the shop until the end of November.

B For Butterfly Books - Not Just Books!
Books will always be our main focus but we also stock a great selection of gifts for all ages.
As well as greetings cards we also have a range of bookish mugs, purses, book nooks, stationery, toys and much more available in the shop. All your Christmas gifting available under one roof!

Our next event in the shop takes place on Thursday 12th November at 7pm.
Stockport resident Chris McDonald, AKA Chris Frost, will be chatting about his brand new crime novel THE CHRISTMAS CAROL KILLER with Sale author Steven Kedie!
“When retired teacher Joseph Morley is found dead, sheet music rammed down his throat and a carol playing on repeat in the background, the police want answers fast…”
This will be our last author event of 2026 so make sure you grab your tickets either online or in the shop.

Check out the website or pop into the shop for more details.

Jon has been working with a company behind the scenes to make our website even bigger and better!
We've already fixed some glitches, e.g. you should (hopefully!) now be able to purchase event tickets and make Wood Street Mission donations without being charged a postage fee. Please feel free to get in touch if that's not the case!
We're also expanding our book offering to include titles we don't hold in the shop meaning you can order all your books in one place. Currently this option is for home delivery only but we're working on allowing in-store collection for any titles in print and available in the UK early in the new year.
In the meantime if you would like to order a book for in-store collection but can only order online with postage, please get in touch via the contact page before completing your order.
We'd love any feedback you have on the website and any issues you may come across. Simply email us at hello@bforbutterflybooks.com with any feedback.

Christmas catalogues are now available to collect in the shop and we'll be out and about delivering these to local homes over the coming weeks.
You can also view the books available in the catalogue on the website at this link.

And finally…As Christmas is approaching we will be open on Sundays 11-3 from 15th November until 20th December. Plenty of time to get all your shopping in before the big day!
Until next time…
Michelle
