This week's Fiver Friday is described as a “Queer love story meets true crime thriller in the dream factory of 1970s cinema”. THE SILVER BOOK by Olivia Laing is reduced from £9.99 to £5 (plus £4 postage if required) for this weekend only.

SURVEY FINDING
Survey responders read a broad range of categories but the most popular category was Crime and Thriller, with three out of five respondents regularly reading that genre.

Jon and I had a great time at the Gardners Trade Show and Booksellers Association Conference last weekend.
As well as catching up with bookseller friends from across the country we heard some great talks from authors such as Phil Earle, Neil Cameron, A F Steadman, Reece Shearsmith, Ben McIntyre and lots more!
We came away brimming with ideas for the bookshop and with lots of new releases to entice you with over the coming months!

Trafford Is is your new home for local events in the Trafford area.
Launched recently by Trafford Council, Trafford Is is a brand-new website designed to showcase the best of Trafford’s culture, leisure and community events.
Cllr Eve Parker, Executive Member for Leisure, Arts, Culture and Heritage at Trafford Council, said: “Trafford has a wealth of great, cultural things to do and places to visit but people have told us they don't always know what is happening and where. Trafford Is aims to connect community members and visitors with all the fun and enriching things going on, so that people and families can make the most of what our borough has to offer."
