SURVEY FINDING
More than three-quarters of you said that you were interested in buying cards, stationery, and bookish gifts alongside your books.
DID YOU KNOW?
We have recently expanded our card and gift selection and will be getting more bits and pieces in before Christmas.
We've just taken delivery of a large order from WARMIES but I might have already claimed Grumpy Bear who is clearly my spirit animal!
Stay tuned over the coming weeks when more goodies will be hitting the shelves making B For Butterfly Books your one-stop-shop for Christmas this year.

We've got some great author events coming up over the next few weeks.
On Wednesday 4th November Emmy Hart (AKA Suzanne Ewart) will be chatting to local author Carolyn O'Brien about her novel THE BEST EX OF MY LIFE.
"Two best friends. One messy love story. After another horrendous first date, Lizzie is DONE with the apps.
No more swiping. No more small talk. Instead, she’s hatching a plan so brilliantly chaotic that her two best gal pals can’t say no: the ex-swap!"
If you're looking for a fun “friends-to-idiots-to-lovers” romance, this is the book for you!

On Thursday 12th November I'll be welcoming Chris Frost (AKA Chris McDonald) back to the shop.
He'll be chatting with local author Steven Kedie about the new instalment in the DI Tom Stonem series, THE CHRISTMAS CAROL KILLER!
Perfect for those who like their festive season with a dash of slaying!
Tickets for both events can be found on the website.

Many of you will be heading into the half-term holidays next week and we'll have some FREE spooky activities to help keep your little ones entertained, whatever the weather!
On Friday 30th at 11am we'll have a SPOOKY STORY-TIME SESSION celebrating the recent release of ROWLEY JEFFERSON'S AWESOME FRIENDLY SPOOKY STORIES 2!
On Saturday 31st at 11am we'll have a SUPERTATO TRICK OR TREAT STORY-TIME SESSION, perfect for little ones.
Throughout the week we'll have our craft tray out and some treats for any ghouls and ghosts that appear!
All activities are free and there's no need to book. Simply come along on the day!

Some of you have been eagerly awaiting the release of the fifth book in THE STRANGER TIMES series so I'm delighted to say that this is now available in the shop in paperback.
Reply to this email if you'd like to reserve a copy.
And if you've not read THE STRANGER TIMES series I strongly suggest you pop it on your wish-list!

Between 22-25 October Bookshop.org will donate 10% of all online sales to the charity Bookbanks, getting books into food banks.
Since launching in 2024, Bookbanks has distributed over 25,000 books to people accessing food banks, as well as training 140 volunteers with a background in books to run the stalls.
Buy any book between 22-25 October and not only will you be supporting your favourite independent bookshop but 10% will also go to this fantastic charity.

And that's it for this week.
Hopefully see you in the shop soon.
If you're not able to pop in, feel free to email me with any books you'd like ordering in.
