Thank you so much to everyone who joined us in the shop for BOOKSHOP DAY!
It was great to see so many new and familiar faces in the shop. We had our busiest day yet!
The winning raffle ticket was 238 and has already been claimed by Rachel!
The correct number of bookmarks in the basket was 871 and the nearest guess was a pretty impressive 856 from Rebecca. I've emailed you to come and collect your prize!

Our latest event took place in the shop on Wednesday evening with Rachel Canwell chatting about her debut historical novel PAPER SISTERS.
There was a great turn-out and lots of interest in Rachel's family ties to the mysterious hospital which lies at the centre of the novel.
If you're looking for a book to curl up with this autumn, PAPER SISTERS promises atmospheric sweeping landscapes and complicated female relationships which is ultimately a tale of resilience and hope.
Copies are now available in the shop.
Our next event takes place on Wednesday 4th November at 7pm. Emmy Hart (AKA Suzanne Ewart) will be chatting about her new novel THE BEST EX OF MY LIFE, featuring two best friends and one messy love story.
Tickets are available here.

Over the next few weeks we'll be bringing you some of the findings from our Bookshop Survey.
If you have any further feedback or comments, please feel free to get in touch.
SURVEY FINDING
Perhaps unsurprisingly, most of you prefer to read books in paperback, but a large number also like to read e-books with hardbacks and audio books falling further down the list.
DID YOU KNOW?
You don't have to buy your e-books from the big online retailers?
Bookshop.org was set up as an ethical alternative to those websites which have dominated the market for so long, and you can now purchase both e-books and audiobooks from them with the profits directly benefitting independent bookshops.
Better yet, if you buy through this link the profits are directed to the independent bookshop of your choice i.e. B For Butterfly Books!
You can find out more at this link.

Until next week
Michelle
