I'm very excited to announce our next event involving not one...not two...but three local authors!
On Wednesday 23rd July, B For Butterfly Books will welcome Chris McDonald, Adam Farrer and Rob Parker to discuss their latest releases and what it's like to be an author UP NORTH!

Chris McDonald grew up in Northern Ireland before settling in Manchester via Lancaster and London. He is the author of the Erika Piper series (set to be reissued by HarperNorth at the end of July), the Stonebridge Mysteries and Little Ghost. Under the name Chris Frost, he has also penned the top 20 bestseller, The Killer's Christmas List.
Adam Farrer is a writer, lecturer, mentor and editor based in Manchester. His debut essay collection, Cold Fish Soup, won the NorthBound Book Award and his follow-up, Broken Biscuits and Other Male Failures, was published by HarperNorth in 2025.
Rob Parker lives in Warrington and is the author of the Ben Bracken thrillers and the Cam Killick mysteries as well as a number of stand-alone novels. The first in the Cam Killick series is now available in paperback.
